Bursting onto the world scene in 2002 with their debut album ‘Highly Evolved’ which spawned the garage rock anthem ‘Get Free’ , The Vines impacted the album charts in Australia (5), the US (11) and the UK (3). The band took home an Aria Award in the same year for ‘Breakthrough Artist Single’ for ‘Get Free’ and received a further 5 nominations. The band appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone in America, the cover of NME and performed on David Letterman and the MTV Music Awards

The album was produced by Chris Colonna (from the Bumblebeez) and mixed in Paris by Julien Delfaud (Phoenix) with spiritual guidance from Philippe Zdar at his Motorbass Studio. The album is a true return to form, packed with the sort of killer hooks and genius melodic songwriting that gained them worldwide notoriety in the first place.
