Despite having only just signed to Infectious Music (Alt-J, Drenge, Superfood, These New Puritans et al.) in the UK, DMA'S are in the unique position of having reams of songs already written, rehearsed, perfect-ed and ready to go. So much so, in fact, that their debut release on these shores comes in the shape of a six-track, self-titled mini-LP due on 19 May.
It tells you everything you need to know about the band: positively overflowing with huge choruses and hooks galore, it's a melting pot of ideas that sets them apart perfectly from their supposed peers, in both quantity and quality. At the centre of it all is DMA'S lead vocalist Tommy O'Dell, a man who's voice has the capacity to both sooth and ignite; guitarist Johnny Took and songwriter, guitarist and backing vocalist Matt Mason complete the trio.
