[00:02.72]Five score years ago
[00:06.51]a Great American sign and proclaimed you know
[00:12.43]The Emancipation that brought a beacon light of hope
[00:17.54]to plenty of slaves who had been seared called Negroes
[00:23.96]The flame of injustice and now a hundred years have passed
[00:29.05]and now today we must face the true tragic facts
[00:34.02]The Negro is still not free and though impossible it seems…
[00:40.30]"I Have A Dream"
[00:46.30]
[00:47.39]The Constitution reads
[00:51.20]and gives the promise that all men be guaranteed
[00:56.21]pursuit of happiness, pride of life and liberty
[01:01.90]a check of independence cash and decree.
[01:07.51]But it is obvious America’s at fault,
[01:12.91]default on its promises gave citizens of all
[01:18.71]And now we must demand our right to be free
[01:24.76]‘cause I have a dream."
[01:30.59]I have dream.....
[01:36.31]A dream that one day
[01:41.57]Black boys and black girls will join hands
[01:45.70]White boys and girls and we’ll stand sisters and brothers.
[01:53.20]Yes I have dream. ....
[01:58.53]A dream that one day,
[02:04.74]mountains and hills be made low
[02:07.93]And all the world is told the crooked’s been made straight.
[02:15.60]Till His glory is seen….
[02:20.77]“I have a dream."
[02:25.97]
[02:27.57]To overlook the urgency,
[02:31.23]it would be fatal to deny equality.
[02:36.77]The autumn of freedom the year of 1963,
[02:42.51]but a beginning of the end of will be.
[02:48.01]But there is something I must say to my people .
[02:53.52]Who stand on the threshold into the palace where we go.
[02:59.21]Let’s not be guilty of violence and wrong deeds.
[03:05.18]Cause I have a dream.
[03:09.36]
[03:11.33]I have dream. A dream that one day
[03:21.62]
[03:22.22]This nation will rise up and see
[03:25.56]the truth of this creed and equal all men will be.
[03:33.38]I have a dream. A dream that one day,
[03:44.82]With a new meaning we will sing,
[03:48.60]“My country ‘tis of thee, sweet land of liberty.”
[03:55.88]Freedom will ring, will ring, cause I have a dream.
[04:05.60]
[04:06.22]MLK: And if America is to be a great nation,
[04:09.62]this must become true. So let freedom ring
[04:11.45]from the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire.
[04:17.43]Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York.
[04:22.45]Let freedom ring from
[04:25.54]the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania!
[04:27.76]Let freedom ring from the snowcapped Rockies of Colorado!
[04:32.13]Let freedom ring from the curvaceous peaks of California!
[04:36.38]But not only that; l
[04:38.24]et freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia!
[04:42.21]Let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee!
[04:46.79]Let freedom ring from every hill and every molehill of Mississippi.
[04:49.86]From every mountainside, let freedom ring.
[04:50.69]
[04:51.78]I have dream. A dream that one day
[05:02.70]Black boys and black girls will join hands
[05:06.33]White boys and girls and we’ll stand sisters and brothers.
[05:12.57]
[05:13.89]Yes! I have dream. A dream,
[05:19.71]a dream that one day mountains and hills be made low
[05:29.89]And all the world is told the crooked’s been made straight.
[05:36.19]Till His glory is seen….
[05:41.80]I have a dream.
[05:45.97]
[05:47.68]Freedom will ring, cause I have a dream.
[05:58.66]Though it impossible it seems. I have a dream.
[06:08.43]
[06:09.52]MLK: “Sons of former slaves and the sons of
[06:10.95]former slave-owners will be able to sit down together
[06:15.55]at a table of brotherhood. I have a dream!
[06:29.97]When all of God's children, black men and white men,
[06:36.24]Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics,
[06:37.97]will be able to join hands and sing
[06:40.52]in the words of the old Negro spiritual,
[06:43.10]"Free at last! free at last! thank God Almighty,
[06:47.65]we are free at last!"
[06:51.16]My four little children will one day live in a nation
[06:56.71]where they will not be judged by the color of
[06:59.73]their skin but by the content of their character.
[07:01.89]I have a dream today!
