Soulful and sultry, Frankie Forman sings from the heart. Likened to Mazzy Star and Portishead, her sound is a sexy Western esque trip-hop blues. Her upcoming mini album, Blue Dogs, co written with her right hand man Johnny Rock (aka 'buddy') from PLMB, will be released this May, and it’s a five song step into Frankie’s diary. The track of the same name is hypnotic and ethereal, her voice is smoke and velvet. The poet in Frankie was inspired by the likes of Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen but her vinyl collection is all Nina Simone, Billy Holliday and Tom Waits.
Frankie began her career in Paris playing the cafes and bars of Monmarte, but ever since her first gig in camden she has set the London scene smouldering.
