Gargoyle is a Japanesethrash metal band, formed in 1987 in Osaka. They are notable for merging thrash metal with various progressive elements. They are also one of the early bands of the visual-kei movement, being one of the few bands from the 80s whom are still active along with bands like D'erlanger and X Japan.
