“DAMI” takes its origins from the character “Damien” in the movie “Omen”, and “JAW”, of course, is the literal body part.
Damien is a demon, but he is still a child.
His jaw is supported by two fangs that make for powerful weapons, but his jaw is, as they say in martial arts, his weak spot.
It is an existence that merges incredible power with the weakness so crippling it makes one unable to do anything at all.
In short, he too is imperfect.

“DAMIJAW” is a word that ka-yu himself invented to symbolize all those things in the world, and in ourselves, that are flawed.

The self that can do nothing, taking notice of the world's contradictions.
He laments this state, saying, “I Cannot Forgive My Powerless Self”.
However, he does not just grieve.
It is because of his flaws that he is driven to seek his ideal.
After all, it is in recognizing our imperfections that we grow.

“I won't lament my current state, but set out, seeking my ideal song, my ideal sound, and my ideal self!”

“DAMIJAW” is the project that brings together ka-yu's strong will and desire toward this ideal.
