NFrealmusic is a movement and a calling that God has put on my life to bring kids to a place of encountering a real God, and real Truth, without “sugar coating” life along the way. When people think of real, they think of real life, as in the reality of things, and that's what this music is about: My testimony of walking through real life issues and putting what I’ve experienced into a song. One minute we might be praising Jesus through a song, and the next minute asking God why we are going through this circumstance, but in the end it all comes down to…. lets be real!
(What do you want people to take away from your music?)
When people listen to my music, I want them to take a truth and a reality that they can relate to from it. God has given me an opportunity to reach people through music, and I want to use it to help them realize that there are others out there going through similar things, and there is hope to get through it. When people walk away from hearing a song I write, I want them moved by it knowing they didn't just listen to another everyday song, but they heard something real, something they connected with.
(Your music seems very passionate, so what is it that makes your performances so relatable?)
God has given everyone gifts, things they are very good at and are very passionate about in life. One gift that God has given me is the ability to express myself through music. He has given me a chance to make a difference in peoples’ lives just by doing what I love to do. The passion behind my music comes from being able to write my feelings down on paper and releasing them. Everybody has a way they release how they feel, and this is mine. Pain, joy, happiness, sadness all these elements are incorporated into my music, which not only makes it passionate for me, but for others who listen to it as well. It motivates me knowing there are kids in the world who turn on a song of mine because they can relate to something I’ve felt or experienced, and find hope through it.
(What makes you different than other hip-hop artist?)
What I am doing with music is not a job to me. It is a ministry, and I believe this sets me apart from a lot of hip hop artists. I don’t just write words to put to a beat so I can make a living. I seek to communicate a message, a truth, and a hope. I also seek to do more than just rap by mixing vocal choruses in with my intense style of rap to create a separation between me and other artists.
