Nikolaj Grandjean is a musician who has many irons in the fire. He has written songs for the Danish singer Marie Frank, who won a Danish Grammy in 2001. He has formed the band Luke together with Thulau where he appears as both songwriter, guitarist and co-singer. This band was nominated for a Danish Music Award in the category This Years New Danish Artist in 2003.

Nicolaj Grandjean of the Danish outfit, Luke, releases his first solo effort entitled "Carrying Stars". Smooth melodies and catchy hooks fill each song, while subtle acoustic guitars compliment Granjean's voice quite beautifully. Evne though "Carrying Stars" may not be as somber as Damien Rice's "O", it still resonates with plenty of sincerity and emotion from beginning to end.
