作为少数现在仍旧受欢迎的80年代 Pop Metal 乐队，Bon Jovi 在伏蛰了五年后终于推出的新专辑《Crush》。新专辑是乐队对80年代音乐风格的一次回归，依旧保持了 Bon Jovi 一贯坚持的健康、流行的曲风，歌曲的可听性很强，而且在音量上显然比上张风格忧郁的专辑《These Days》重了许多。同时还在新专辑中适度的加入些电子气息以使跟上潮流，当然，歌曲的冲击力与震撼力是无法与80年代全盛时期相提并论了，到底他们都已年近不惑了。专辑中主打歌曲是 Bon jovi 1986年冠军曲 “Livin’ on A prayer“ 的后续之作 “It's My Life“ ，"Just Older"（可以理解为是仅仅年纪大了的意思）则是 Bon Jovi 现在心情的正式写照。《Crush》在商业上的成绩不错，刚一推出就打上 Billboard 专辑榜的Top 9，在欧洲则很快的卖出了白金销量，专辑的世界销量达 700 多万张，让那些如今最走红的乐队也自叹不如。凭借着出色的《Crush》，Bon Jovi将自己的演艺带入了新的世纪。
