Wilco just released a new, 11-song album for free on its website. That album is titled Star Wars.The album is free "for a limited time," according to a disclaimer on their web site. A rep for the band did not immediately respond to request for comment.
The timing is interesting for the sneak-attack release of the follow-up to 2011's The Whole Love: Jeff Tweedy and co. are slated to headline the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago tomorrow night (July 17). Expect the group to perform some Stars Wars material (and make some sort of Force Awakens joke onstage).
