Saturate Records is back with a huge EP from UK born, China based producer Conrank. Entitled Ma Fan or 麻烦 (translated from chinese it means trouble) the EP has been produced in Conranks Shanghai studio and includes 8 original’s featuring Stylust Beats, DJ Shadow, DJ Go , Messy MC (DJ Fresh’s right hand man) and Mad Zach and a remix pack including remixes from Starkey, BoeBoe, Soulspeak, Bleep Bloop and Johnathon Thomas. The last year has been an exciting time for Conrank, collaborating with the legendary DJ Shadow, having support from DJ’s around the world including The Gaslamp Killer and G.Jones and touring extensively, including America, Europe and Australia. This EP is a culmination of that year and takes in many influences including grime, juke, chinese folk music, hip-hop and trap but at the same time feels like a cohesive and distinctive selection of tracks. One thing you are sure to take way from this EP is that Conrank definitely has his own unique sound that really cannot be pigeonholed easily, take a listen and we are sure you will agree.
