Andrea Corr has become a song writer at the top of her game. Clearly there are many Corrs fans out there who want a new record. This solo effort, while not containing quite the punch of the whole band, puts Andrea's lovely angelic voice and her skill as a writer on display. There is an evident simplicity to these songs, which makes them so accessible, you find yourself humming many of the tunes right away.
I think the whole band of the Corrs would have given a few of the tracks a more interesting texture to those of us who love their music. But you gotta give Andrea credit for following her muse and what a lovely, wonderful muse it is. We can only hope that this record will prompt the rest of the band to want to get back into the studio soon.
