“Mad Love.” is the awaited third studio by American singer-songwriter JoJo, which is scheduled to be released on October 14th via Atlantic Records. Pre-order available since September 16th.
It comes preceded by the triangle-release single “III.” including new tracks “When Love Hurts“, “Save My Soul” and “Say Love“, all released simultaneously on iTunes on August 21st.
During an interview with Maximo at 2014 Unlikely Heroes charity gala, JoJo he worked in the studio with MNEK, Pharrell Williams, Sam Smith, Mac Miller, Tori Kelly, Ina Wroldsen, Jason Evigan and Dawn Richards.
The singer debuted anticipated new track “Good Thing“, her collaboration with hitmaker MNEK during her mini-show at Tigerheat on August 20th.
JoJo released a suprise 4-piece EP “LOVEJO#2” on December 18th as another prelude before the arrival of the album including three new original songs plus a special remix of “When Love Hurts“.
During a recent interview with BBC Radio 1, JoJo announced that her new album's title includes 2 words, first word starting with M and the second L. In an interview with Malcolm Music, she confirmed the album title to be, “Mad Love”.
The next official single “F*** Apologies.”, and follow-up to “III“, was written by Tayla Park, responsible for co-writing Mariah Carey's “Infinity” and most recently “Dope” for Fith Harmony's new album “7/27“. She has also collaborated on Chris Brown's track “Anyway” included on his recent album “Royalty“.
The single, that includes the collaboration of Wiz Khalifa, was finally released on digital retailers and streaming services on July 28th.
“Music” the raw piano-ballad opener, is dedicated to her late father, Joel Levesque, who heard an earlier version of the LP prior to his death in November 2015. JoJo said:"He was so moved and thankful that I got the opportunity to continue with what I loved. I don't think he thought that it was going to be possible, because it just didn't seem like it."
Along the pre-order of the album, JoJo will released the album's opening track “Mad Love.” on September 16th.
