A New Day... Live in Las Vegas features thirteen live tracks from Céline Dion's incredibly successful Las Vegas show, called A New Day... and two previously unreleased studio tracks: "You and I" and "Ain't Gonna Look the Other Way." It was also released with bonus DVD (a 45-min documentary, called One Year... One Heart).

A New Day... Live in Las Vegas inludes five live songs which weren't available on Dion's previous albums: "Fever," "I've Got the World on a String," "I Wish," "If I Could," and "What a Wonderful World." The studio versions of last two were included on her next album Miracle.

"If I Could" was originally recorded by Nancy Wilson on her Nancy Now! album in 1988. Ray Charles covered it on My World in 1993. Barbra Streisand also inluded the song on her Higher Ground album in 1997.

The French edition of A New Day... Live in Las Vegas contained "Contre nature" as a bonus track.

The original scheduled A New Day... DVD release date was postponed because of changes and improvements made to the show since the initial filming. A New Day... was re-shot during the January 17-21, 2007 show week. The show was filmed in high-definition for a soon-to-be-released TV special and DVD. It will be produced by Julie Snyder's French Canadian company Productions J. The bonus for the DVD will be four documentaries: "The Secrets of A New Day...," "A New Day... in the Life of Céline," "The World Comes to See Céline" as well as "The Making of the DVD." It will be released worldwide in English and French. Additionally, there are possible plans to release the original filming from 2004 so fans are able to see the evolution of A New Day... .
