Club des Belugas is a lounge-nujazz project, founded by Maxim Illion & Kitty the Bill in 2002 . CdB has released 5 albums so far: "caviar at 3 a.m." (2002), "minority tunes" (2003), "apricoo soul" (2006), "SWOP" (2008) and "Zoo Zizaro" (11/2009) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The 12" "hip hip chin chin / Gadda Rio" climbed to number 1 of the German Club Charts in november 2003. The 12" "Wildcats gotta Move / Dibidy Dop" reached number 3 in march 2006, and stayed in the TOP TEN for 8 weeks. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tracks from CdB have been licensed for compilations more than 630 times. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tracks from CdB have been licensed for advertisement and TV commercials of: BMW, Honda Jazz, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus, Smart, KIA Motors, Jaguar, Nivea, LG Electronics, Samsung Mobile Phones, C&A, Landrover, Burlington, Hudson, Strenesse, The German National Soccerteam, CPD, Telekom South Korea..... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The 3rd album "Apricoo soul" has been voted for "ALBUM OF THE YEAR 2006" bywww.shirokko.de ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In summer 2007 Club des Belugas performed 89 gigs in China ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The 4th album "SWOP" has been voted for "ALBUM OF THE YEAR 2008" bywww.shirokko.de ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The 5th album "Zoo Zizaro" has been released in November 2009. Including such great vocalists as Anna-Luca from Stockholm/Sweden, Brenda Boykin from San Francisco/California, Ferank Manseed from Newcastle/UK and 3 remixes from "Radio Utopia feat. Bajka", Les Baxter and Ella Fitzgerald. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- End of July 2010 Club des Belugas releases a live 2CD album, recorded at the GRILLO THEATRE ESSEN / GERMANY and at the REX THEATRE WUPPERTAL / GERMANY. A LIVE DVD of the concert at the REX THEATRE will also be released by the end of July. Watch out!
