My name is Heidi Parviainen. I am a Finnish classical singer singing in a lyrical soprano range. At the moment I follow professional singing studies at the Conservatory of Helsinki, Finland. I started my musical career in 1997 in a metal band called Iconofear as a keyboardist and a backing vocalist but in 2006 I started to look for a band as a singer. Shortly after that I joined a Finnish metal band called Amberian Dawn. We released four studio albums and did three European tours and several And several European festivals before we parted ways in 2012 and announced my new solo project called Dark Sarah. Dark Sarah is making one of my dreams come true, a dream that had been sleeping for many years but now has finally awoken. At the moment Dark Sarah is making its´ first studio album. The musical style combines elements of film music, metal music and even music theater. On the album called "Behind The Black Veil" there will perform several guest musicians like Manuela Kraller, Inga Scharf (Van Canto) and Kasperi Heikkinen (U.D.O, Merging Flare). Dark Sarah´s talented band includes musicians like: Erkka Korhonen- guitar (Raskasta joulua, Northern Kings), Sami-Petri Salonen- guitar, Jukka Koskinen- bass ( Wintersun) and Lauri Kuussalo- drums. Dark Sarah has already released the first song and a music video called " Save me". Song is written by Emy Frost and lyrics by Heidi. Now Dark Sarah is raising funds for her debut album by Indie GoGo crowdfunding campaign. The Album will be published in three episodes and first only digitally for the Indie GoGo contributors. After all the episodes are funded and published digitally the whole album will be put together for a CD version with three extra songs. Erkka Korhonen - Guitar Erkka is know for playing many years with Ari Koivunen ( Finnish idol winner 2007) . He has been also been playing/producing Hysteria, Raskasta Joulua and Northern Kings! Sami-Petri Salonen - Guitar "I started playing guitar in 1991. Over the years I have played in several bands like Finnish Melodic Hard Rock band - Edward, and toured with 2004 Finish Idols 2. finalist." - Sami - Jukka Koskinen - Bass Lauri Kuussalo - Drums "Gathered from the memoirs of progressive tunes and various atmospheric metal moments, I have built my deepest intuition to music. I try my best not to play only the drums -but the music itself. Not to forget the lurking twist of a blink of an eye, as you'll see.
