Alex Goot (born Alex Gut; March 15, 1988) is a singer/songwriter from Poughkeepsie, New York. He is currently the 87th most subscribed musician on YouTube[6].In 2007, Goot launched his YouTube channel titled Goot Music. At first his recordings consisted of him singing and playing the piano (ie: his 2010 cover of "Dark Blue" by Jack's Mannequin) but after seeing YouTube sensation Pomplamoose and how the duo layered their music, he was inspired to change his production style. Recording original music as well as covers, Alex Goot became the 397th most subscribed user on YouTube.
