来自外太空的“怪物奇兵”要绑架华纳兄弟公司的所有动画人物，这是太空游乐场的老板发出的指令，目的是靠这些动画人物挽救不景气的娱乐行业。交涉后达成的协议是让“怪物奇兵”与全体动画人物打一场篮球比赛，胜负定去留。可单纯的动画人物没有料到，“怪物奇兵”有瞬间球技速成的法术，巴克利、皮蓬这样的大腕全失叱咤，个个成了病号......原来，他们的一身武艺都被“怪物奇兵”们吸走，变成高大威猛的梦之队组合。于是，只好求助于转到棒球和高尔夫球领域发展的迈克尔.乔丹。到底是超级巨星，有绝招，也有号召力，挽狂澜于即倒。
A good orchestral cartoony score for a semi-animated film. James Howard provided a score that attempts to capitalize on the happenings in the movie, and act both as simple mood music (as any good score should) as well as to help fill in the various sound effects that are needed in a cartoon when able. As such, the score suffers somewhat on a standalone listen. It's certainly fanciful, and loony in portions, but, as a coherent whole, it needs the movie badly to accompany. Otherwise, it's just a collection of snippets and orchestral sound effects.
